That's right - I'm getting in early this time around to give everyone a chance to practise ;)

Competitions at the next MPU will comprise of:

1. Unreal Open Tennis Comp - singles (postponed from last MPU). This is gunna be the big comp of the day. Same rules as previously planned - Single Elimination based on a random draw. Preliminaries will be 20 minutes or the first to win 2 sets (each set has 3 games). The Grand Final will be first to 3 sets with no time limit.

2. Trackmania Racing - Demo Version. That's right - Demo Version. So no excuses :P . We will be running 20 minute Time Attacks across 6 different tracks. You can download the maps from here. You can also grab the demo from ausgamers here. Points will be awarded to the top 4 players in each time attack, and the winner being the racer with the most points after the last round.

3. Live For Speed - MPU Cup
Round 3 of the MPU cup will be played using Live For Speed - S2 Demo. We are still fine tuning the format of this one, but it will probbaly consist of a bunch of laps at Blackwood on track, and a bunch of laps at Blackwood in Rally mode. Stay tuned for more details :)

4. CS match - smack the admins
Here's your chance to have the glory of beating the Admins - or having to live with the eternal shame of being beat by admin n00bs. This will be a 1-off 5v5 CS:Source match. Players will be selected at random to form a team to then take on the Admin team.

If time permits, we'll also try to get in some organised Deathmatch/CTF games going. If there are any other games you want to see organised/played on the day, post a reply in this thread, or drop us an email.

Also, don't forget that Rego's open next Friday (3rd June) at 8pm.

I'm happy to run another deathball comp - but we can't offer any prizes for it this month. How about a 4v4 on some smaller maps???

Yeah doesn't matter about prizes. I'd be happy to see some comps run regardless.

BF2 demo comp!

Word on the web is that the demo is out on the 10th.

Unlike its predecessors, BF2 is tailored for 6v6 or 8v8 gameplay which makes it perfect for lans.

i heard somewhere round the 12th so if one of us is right then either way we can enjoy some at the LAN =D

Cleared up me HDD for some more leachin...gta san andreas is released in 2 days for PC if anyone likes that stuff. Its been enhanced due to the shocking state of the PS2 version comparing to PC capabilities...
