The first MPU in over 9 months, from our point of view went very well. With a new venue it's always hard to know the configuration you want to use, the power and the network layout.

The day started in a flurry, with many people waiting outside the hall to get in, once inside we received some pretty positive comments about the new venue, how new it looked, how helpful Dooleys staff were and most importantly how the air con WORKED!

We ran a number of comps during the day, the main comp being the UT2K4 CTF comp - it was totally dominated by team fear winning EVERY game by 10-0 - these guys really worked well as a team.

We also ran a HL2:DM Comp, the idea was just a crazy free for all, but due to the limits of HL2 only allowing 16 players in a server at a time, we had to run 2 heats, with the top 8 players from each heat moving into the final. It was a tough battle in the end, with matter taking the early lead and then Asuka taking over and finally Dirty Mexican taking the game, continuing his domination from CTF in the HL2 world!

Missingo also ran the first leg of the MPU racing cup using Need for Speed Underground 2, anbu.takeshi absolutely blitzed his oposition to take the 8 points.

Personally one of the best aspects of the day was the intranet, for those that didn't have a look at it, do so at the next event, its awesome. We'll be running all comps through that going forward, props to bertie for that!

Once again, great day had by all, all the admins enjoyed themselves as did you guys (I hope!). Awesome new venue and some great sponsors make this all happen.

Hey Heardy,
I have a couple of digi Photos my daughter took. Do you want me to send them to you or someone else to pop up on the April shots. I haven't had a look at them so she may have snapped Em a few too many times. He has a way with the girls so I'll need to keep an eye on her next month :P

The intranet site was brilliant. I was really impressed with that one, very handy. :)
