Spotted at Ars.Technica: The Micro-AmigaOne and Amiga OS4 Developer Prerelease.

As a die-hard Amiga fan, this news brought a smile to my face. After many years of many rumours about the future of the Amiga and AmigaOS, a consortium has release OS4 and a new mini-itx AmigaOne motherboard.

This article provides an in-depth review of the new OS4, and poses some possiblr future uses for it, such as in PDA's, and SmartPhones and the like. Whilst it is certain that the new Amiga will never be the same sort of machine the Amiga 500 and Amiga 1200 were, it is still awesome news to see that there are other fans out there who will do their best to make sure the Amiga doesn't die out all-together.

I'd be interested to hear some old Amiga-based tales from you all. Reply in the comments.

And for those of you who never had an Amiga and what to get a taste of what it was all about, grab a copy of the Windows Ultimate Amiga Emulator and see what you missed out on :)
